Pathfinder has a lot of logging options and this can be useful in many ways. Pathfinder uses the Windows OS time for its time stamp. If you want this to be Military time, then you will need to set the OS to show military time. Depending on OS version, the steps may be slightly different, but the bas...

Technically this can be done, but is it wise to do is rather a harder question to answer. Both applications can function on the same CPU. But as one application takes on more tasks or responsibility, it will require more resources and potentially take resource from the second application or the seco...

32-bit version
as a side note to this subject version 2.5.2.3 of IP driver fixes naming convention as it has been changed in Windows Vista and 7. This is fairly important when it comes to OEM versions since earlier versions would show all I/O as the same name in Windows. 2.5.2.3 resolves this new method in which w...

Yes there is and I was planning on posting something in this regard in a few days in relation to a partner product.. but I will still post when ready... as for your question. The method that comes to mind is a backdoor of methods since the driver was designed with playout systems in mind... so it do...

Simian is a playout system. The playout system would use a sound card to play audio with. The IP driver is software that can be installed on a Windows PC. This software inserts itself as a sound device to the operating system. Simian, as a playout application would use this *sound device* to play it...

Backfeed (headphone feed) for a Guest/Talent - No Audio
I'm trying to set up a headphone feed for a talent so that I can address them specifically... I would think that I assign their headphone destination to be a "TO: MyTalent". I can hear talkback but not program. What am I doing wrong? Or is there a better way of doing this? A Headphone backfeed is a...

ATOM Processors?
A question came up about the recent ATOM processors from Intel being used for Pathfinder. There is plenty of information on the web about this processor and I would like to state that is depends on which *series* of the Atom processor and what you plan to do with Pathfinder. The Atom is known best f...

What is a backfeed
"Backfeed" is a term used to describe a return audio source. For example, a phone hybrid typically would be fed a mix-minus. This mix-minus is return audio, or a "backfeed". Also, you could have an independent headphone feed for microphone positions. This is also known as a "backfeed". So, the Eleme...
