Levels are all over the place. With the introduction of Digital Editing I think it has gotten worse. From my experience, a lot of production has been produced at hot levels. I once worked at a facility that had become so accustomed to the meters on a Panasonic DAT unit that the facilities "nominal" ...

Go to Control Panel Look for the Icon "Axia IP-Audio", Select it Bottom left corner is an Audio level adjustment. The adjustment is made to state what is the "nominal" recording level. If your "nominal" recording is the same as your console (-20 dbFS) nominal level, then move the adjustment as such....

What if the PC went through a reboot? Is the ACU emulator setup to start automatically (say in the Startup folder?). Can you look in the window logs and see if the machine was restarted? Do the window logs show any errors? Your setup is a little different than the normal NexGen setup. Typically the ...

Correct, Pathfinder would be the means to have an Element show profile change based on some other event. The manual for Pathfinder should give you some clues. Basically, you are looking to build a "Stack Event" where one of the qualifiers would be a GPIO closure. If you have a Google box, you likely...

I know Chris and I have already spoken, but for others, you can assist yourself in troubleshooting by using NexGenViewer application and observe Opto activity (and perhaps Relay activity) to see if NexGen is doing anything or receiving anything. Also, you can telnet to the IP driver, port 93 and obs...

The last two are Livewire enabled devices, the first one could sit on the Machine and process the incoming Stream that the driver is pulling from the network.

iProfiler or Pathfinder work fine within Win03. I personally have not seen WinServer 2008 yet. As for running iProfiler and Pathfinder with the same PC. It is typically not suggested. Both applications can run fine together on the same machine, but the concern is how much CPU each will demand as wel...

Andrew, what is the purpose of these machines with IP driver? Single channel driver works on Vista, but either you have to start the installer from the System account or use one of the Vista ready beta versions. OEM Multichannel works on Vista, too. But there is a problem with the new Vista Sounds C...

Pathfinder
Pathfinder has a qualifier option of a show profile change. In the building of the qualifier, you need to specify which show that is being selected. If this show is selected, the actions that are in the Stack Event will occur. A suggestion is to use Output #4 (not used) on the GPIO port assigned as ...

Werner: Some more details on what you have attempted to do would be helpful, but I will say that data can be sent both ways through a TCP connection. I am able to send a string of text from my pathfinder server to a PC that has a telnet connection to the server. The "Send User Command" action availa...

I personally only know of the Winford products. I really like what Winford offers and recently purchased some myself. I've looked in Mouser and Digikey for like products and have had no success. As for the housing, also, haven't found anything other than what is shipped with the Element or GPIO node...

Multi drivers?
I'm affraid you can not install multiple instances of the driver into a machine, just will not work (I've tried). There is a multi channel IP driver though. It is intended to be used with a delivery system - so we don't sell the multidriver. The deal we have with our partners is that they test vario...
