It works. I've seen it installed at a facility using SS32.George Seifert wrote: Has the ASI card working properly with the SS-32 application? I heard that there might be some conflicts with Scott Studios and Livewire via ASI.

Adobe Audition 2.0 - Need to Record in 44.1k
It was brought to my attention that in Adobe Audition v2.0, the program will not allow the user to record at a different sample rate than the hardware. Livewire is set to a sample rate of 48k and this can not be changed in the IP driver. So, if you were using Audition v2.0 with the IP driver, it wou...

Milos, how loud is that switch? Is it usable in the studio? Are you egging me on? I have it in my bedroom, it is so silent that I sleep in the same room with it... Fanless. Comes with a nice big magnet too... I don't even rack it, just stick it onto the side of the rack. http://www.milosnemcik.com/...

2960-8TC
I have one in my equipment rack at home. I'm running a full complement of studio gear. I don't have that much traffic though. I would imagine the 2960-8TC is not listed because it can't really be expanded from. With only a single GIG port (which I use to connect to an ENGINE), there isn't any port t...

Pathfinder on Vista? XP? Win2000? Server'03? oh my!
We recommend that PathfinderPC Server be run on Windows Server 2000 or 2003. While PathfinderPC Server will run under Windows 2000, XP, 2000 Server, and 2003 Server, there are some important limitations that need to be considered when choosing an operating system for PathfinderPC Server. All Microso...

iProfiler
We had to troubleshoot a codec issue earlier this year that required us to record a lot of stuff searching for glitches. Having the capability to record our signal at different points in the signal chain would be neat. Yes! You can record any source!! Full time or only when that SOURCE is active on...

ENGINE questions
What version of Engine Software are you running?
The _OK_ will go away when there is no network connection or when the Engine does not receive a SYNC signal. A SYNC signal can come from any node on the network. All digital systems need a reference clock, "SYNC".

ASI cards / Livewire
I would say without any experience with the card, that it can probably be pushed harder than a standard NIC. The ASI card should have some processors where a NIC does not. I'm interested in seeing how the ASI card performs in a live multitrack recording environment. This is where the ASI card has an...

Host mix?
If you need volume control of different sources so that you can give a special mix to the in-studio host headphone.. yes, you will need to use some sort of "fader"... either dedicating faders on the surface or using the AUX channels. If all you need to do is create on off control to the host headpho...

"MIX-MINUS"
I found there are a lot of Engineers having challenges with understanding the Axia "MixMinus". It is a rather large jump from the previous consoles that many engineers are accustom to, so allow me to explain… Each source that is configured in the studio (ELEMENT) has a “Feed to Source” option. This ...

Samoan Proof
I haven't met a lot of Samoans, but I suppose they have a reputation of being big and strong. I saw an email not to long ago from a customer that said he liked the consoles because they were Samoan Proof. The TV station has Samoan operators. That is my new response when people ask me such things.

If one can't spend the money on iProbe... one of these freewares are a wonderful means of finding IP addresses that have been forgotten.
