Milos, thanks for the quick reply. The application that we had in mind was iProfiler. We were thinking of installing a PC running windows server 2003 or 2008 to handle a lot of our rack room tasks, run Pathfinder, etc. Would the issues that you mention have an impact on iProfiler? We would not be us...

Is there a website with info on the XI audio stuff? Google didn't seem to find it.
I did find that Camden manufactures similar Dsub-to-terminal strip products (www.camdenelec.com). They are a little pricier than the Winford products but they are more compact.
Thanks!

What are motorized faders used for?
Just curious what motorized faders are used for. Since we're in the process of rebuilding everything I was just wondering what kind of applications these are in use for?
Thanks!
Thanks!

GPIO Breakout Ideas?
Hello! We are looking for vendors that make Dsub breakout boards - like the ones made by Winford engineering. We used Winford before, but now that we're rewiring we wanted to see what else was out there and available. We have used the Studiohub 66 block breakouts also. We prefer the screw terminals ...

FWIW, HOSA also makes a little SPDIF -> AES converter box. We used that with the Denon 635s and had no issues. The StudioHub box might be more convenient, though. Oh - one subtle non-Axia note. I believe the Denon's will only play MP3 output through their Analog outs for some reason. If that functio...

Thanks! Well, our main application was to archive our programs. We were originally considering a simpler solution for that. We're also interested in making a simple skimmer (record only when host mic is on) for both of our studios. I'm assuming that there is some way to trigger iProfiler to record b...

Yes. We interfaced our 6100 unit and we ran into exactly the same problem. The simple fix is to get yourself 4 opto isolator units. You can get them from Mouser, Newark, etc. They are pretty cheap. We used the Optek 1264A. They cost about $3 each at Mouser. The opto isolators are an LED on one side ...

Manual for iProfiler?
Hello! I was looking for more information on the iProfiler software. I've been able to find the manuals for the standard version on the Telos-Systems website. Is a manual available for the iProfiler version? The reason I ask is that we're throwing around a lot of crazy ideas of possible uses. Thanks!

Sounds cool. I'm interested in hearing how to figure out a solution to a challenge like this. One simple thing that we do - too simple for what you are doing it sounds like - is to use the preview and talkback busses to talk with callers before we put them on the air. We're using a 2x12 system. When...

Thoughts on Switching Between Studios
Howdy all! I'm glad this forum is up and running. I think it can be a cool way to swap ideas, maybe even code, to make some really cool things happen. So we are about to bring up a second studio. Most of the time our studios will be operating independently, with one of the two on the air and the oth...

We do have two ENCO machines which use the multichannel IP audio driver and they work great. We're kicking around ideas here, and some would involve adding multichannel audio to some non-ENCO machines. Regardless, I was just curious if anyone had used one of these cards in the field. I'll save my te...

I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Audioscience Livewire card? It looks kinda neat.
Thanks!
