Pathfinder function: use received data from Protocol Trans
Hi Dan, Is it possible to use data received by a protocol translator in a stacked event function? Something like: funct:ProtoTransRec(<ProtoTransName>) I am just making the syntax above up, but you get my drift? I am looking to control an application via a socket/Protocol Translator using Pathfinder...

Hi Rod, I have done this - purely for fun I must stress! I don't consider the Pi a tool that is suitable for professional deployment (although I am a big fan and it has its place as a development and education device). I wrote a simple python script which simply subscribes the Pi to a known IGMP gro...

I have managed to get some approximate figures of what inrush current the Analogue X-Node has. I used a Fluke 43B which has a specific inrush measurement function, so its a fairly suitable tool. It had also just been calibrated. Here is a link to a image of the typical result I was getting - about 4...

X-Node inrush current - really large or what?
Is anyone else noticing the huge inrush current on X-Nodes? I have 7 X-Nodes sharing a 10 Amp power distribution board with a "C" curve miniature circuit breaker, and they trip the circuit breaker if they have been left off for any decent amount of time (> 20 minutes). I'm on nominal 230V power. The...

Livewire SYNC with X-nodes
What conditions could cause X-nodes (Analog) to take over the master sync role from a node which has been assigned "Primary Master". I have an installation of a dozen x-nodes, with one assigned the Livewire Clock Master Priority "5 - Primary Master" and the rest left as "3 - default". But sometimes ...

Multicast GPIO on Pathfinder 5.0
I have a question about the new feature added on Pathfinder 5.0RC What is the intended purpose for this feature? The manual alludes to it: It allows the Pathfinder Administrator to add Multicast channel numbers to the Axia gpio router. These additional ports in the router can then be used to directl...

QOR.16 / QOR.32 POE voltage and current limit specs
I haven't been able to locate the details around the Power Over Ethernet output specs for a QOR.16 studio engine. Could you please enlighten me? I am considering driving a small headphone amp from the POE port as a power source. Is this a stupid idea for some reason? Or should I be ok if I stick to ...
