Thanks Milos.

Ben is looking into this, per your email to him.

If I were to bet, I am thinking someone is shutting it down - we just don't have the proof yet and everyone is in denial.

ACU Emulator

We are using SAACUBRIDGE from Software Authority to emulate the Sine Systems ACU in a Prophet Automation system. Almost every evening, the program is shut down in one of 5 studios, thus when it comes time to switch to satelite programming, the switch does not happen and the station associated with t...

Fat Audio Cables

I've been building studios for decades. All of them had fat bunches of audio cables to connect the studios to the technical hub. Now that I am preparing to build my first studios using a Livewire audio network, I find myself fighting the urge to buy a bunch of fat audio cable and installing rows of ...

I have yet to experience any fade and we have had some heavy wet snow, thick fog lasting for days and heavy rain. The most fade I have seen is 9db. My rsl usually site aroung -44dbm at a range of 12 miles with a two foot dish at each end. I also use the high power version of the Dragonwave which gi...

Switches

OK, the Cisco 2960G-8TC-L is on the approved list, but not the 2960-8TC-L. The only difference I see (not that I'm all knowing or anything  ) is that the "G" has Ethernet 1000Base-T ports and the "Non-G" does not. If I do not have a 1000Base-T path... say if I am using an IP radio, or plain ol...

Re: Power Suppy question

In addition to GPIO connections, Element power supplies also contain the console CPU and the CANBus network connections for the console frame. SmartSurface consoles have the CPU inside the console frame and don't have any CANBus connections. So if your installation uses Element consoles, you'd have...

Power Suppy question

I couldn't find a "dumb question" catagory so I'll post it here... :D

What is the difference between the "Element Power Supply" and the "Smart Surface Power Supply," and what would I use each for?

Thanks,

Dave

Ditto the question about rain fade...

I am looking at a similar path using the AirPair but my past experience with rain fade has me scared...
