Pathfinder Pro as a service?

Post by Andrew_KOOP »

Hello!

We are running Pathfinder Pro on a windows server 2003r2 machine. I was wondering if there was a way to configure Pathfinder Pro to launch as a service when the machine starts up (ie, if we lose power or something)?

In a previous implementation we used a WinXp box and just added Pathfinder to the Startup menu. But for our server 2003 machine we'd prefer not to have to deal with some of the user account issues that we needed in order to get the startup menu trick to work.

Thanks for your time and happy holidays!

Andrew,
We are working towards the goal of having PathfinderPC Server run as a service with a conifguration UI application, but there is a lot of work involved in reaching that point, and during that time we also have other features that are critical to get implemented so we do not have an ETA on this yet. But we are working towards that goal.
