I just installed PathFinder 4.22 BETA version.
It can play WAV sounds and even speak!! There is a Stack Event Play Audio. If you gonna test it leave UserName blank AND default and enter only password.
Works cool!
There is also new Stack Event Console control where you can take control over buttons like PGM1, PGM2 and fader. On the way is support for reading fader level.

Condensed GPIO
I agree - the new features of PF 4.22 are great! Here is another example.
It is no longer necessary to assign microphones to a physical GPIO port in order to monitor the on/off state. A customer recently used the advanced features of PF 4.22 to monitor channel status and condense the GPIO for his MIKA mic arms. With the assistance of PF 4.22, nine microphone status lights plus one on-air light use only 2 ports of GPO and the GPI on these same ports can still be used for other purposes.
