Button module not lighting

Post by Andy Linton »

Hi all, so I've identified the button module in the Element (per another\ thread) as #3, but when I try to get Pathfinder to light the buttons, nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? In Pathfinder, I have a stack event that contains the host IP of the Element, the user module #3, button #5, and the state set to ON.

But no illumination occurs. I know the qualifier is OK as there's another event in there that is working.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong please? I've done this before successfully, but I'm obviously missing something.

Is there a telnet command I can enter to test the button illuminations?

Thanks

Andy.

Glad to hear that you've got the buttons identified. Quick question for ya, are you using filmcap or LCD buttons?

Set the ON state color to something basic at first... as in RED.
ON state and OFF state are functions of Pathfinder and not the button. So in Pathfinder, you need to define a color for the ON state. I like to use basic colors... as in RED, GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW. You can also define by the HEX value, but for now, just start with the basics.

Send me the stack event, in your stack event folder, there is an XML file with the stack event name. Please send this XML to me.
