Controlling Element Return program assignments

Hello,

We have been wanting to be able to control with pathfinder where the aux returns ( A and B) of an element are assigned.

It is obvious how to change the assignments by default for a profile, or live by going into the Sends&Returns menus, but we were hoping for a less knob intensive method.

The easy way that comes to mind is have pathfinder switch between profiles, but we didn't want to have to create (2^4)^2 different profiles in order to be able to assign the returns how our operators wanted.

Does anyone know of the easy way to do this?
