how to record

What is your recording device?
How does your recording device receive audio?
What do you want to record?

As for how to start a recording session with AudioVault, you need to ask tech support from AudioVault.

As for the getting the correct audio source into the recorder, assuming the AV is setup to record from the first input, you should go to the Windows START and select CONTROL PANEL. Find the AXIA IP-Audio icon. Select that. In the window that comes up, find the Destination section and on Channel-1, select the BROWSE button. From the window that pops up, select the appropriate audio source you wish to record.

Are you able to go to START
Select Control Panel
Find the Axia IP-Audio icon and select.
In the application window, press the Browse... button.
A window opens and should indicate sources that you can select. Are you able to see this list?

If you are able to preview the audio through the Axia IP-Audio window, then this proves the audio is getting to the PC. If you are not able to record with your recording machine, then this is an issue with the configuration of your recording application. You need to discuss this with the Application vendor or the integrator that built your system.
