NX-12: Making line ringing control a GPIO

Post by Andy Linton »

Hi all - my second question: Can I make the NX-12 fire a GPIO when lines ring, or even when particular line(s) ring?

Thanks

Andy.

Andy, just to clarify, what's your application? A hotline/warmline flasher, or some such?

Well, I'm just thinking of a light that flashes when any incoming line rings.

And/or a separate GPIO that fires on a priority line?

I guess thats what you mean by a hotline - we call 'em The Batphone!

Andy.

TELOS Nx12 Manual

Post by AXIA_milos »

The Nx12 user manual is located:
http://www.telos-systems.com/support/ma ... %201-6.pdf

Looking through it, one would find in section 2.10, on page 22, Parallel GPIO Remote Control. Here it identifies pins that will trigger if any line is ringing or Priority Ringing.

At the end of the manual, Specification section, it shows:
General purpose Input/Output
15 pin D-Sub connector with 5 status outputs and 4 control inputs.

Currently there is not IP GPIO. I think I have heard of such things discussed. Maybe this will be available in a new release of firmware in the future.
