Lower cost Cisco ?

Does anyone have any experience using a LW network with the lower cost Cisco range such as SGE2000 24-Port Gigabit Switch ?

This to be used in conjunction with 2 x IQ studios and various nodes distributed around a facility.

Tips, comments, experience .. would be welcomed !

Also - (for example) can this SGE switch be interfaced to pair with the C2960G over fiber ?
