What is currently the best Engine version to be used for the SmartSurface 2.50.59?

Let me clarify - engine 2.4.8w3 has been marked as not recommended for the SmartSurface. Should 2.4.7e2 simply be deployed or is there an older version better suited for compatibility with this console since there has been no developments since Nov 2006?
