New System, Element will not talk to Engine

Post by plmdwlr »

Very frustrating. All nodes and Engine work and communicate. I can send audio to various locations no problem. The problem is that the Element WILL not connect. Tried new ethernet cables ect. Sometimes can ping it, sometimes can't. It actually worked for a short time on two occasions, then failed again within a short time. We have a very capable IT dept, and have been through all kinds of agonizing troubleshooting. It really seems like the GPIO unit is defective. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I've seen this sort of behavior before when a switch isn't configured or aspects of the switch are not correctly configured. Make sure the switch is configured per the online documents.

We finally stopped to ask directions, and now we are happily on our way. A combination of an old OS on the switches, and command line that they wouldn't accept with the old OS.

Thanks.
