Set labels on Element LCD buttons without PathFinder?

Is there a way to set the text displayed on a LCD button panel in an Element console that does not require the use of Pathfinder? I'm using the button panel in snake mode with GPIO nodes located elsewhere. It currently just says "snake," the Axia channel number, and the pin number of that port.

That is a good question and one I've not come across. At the moment there is no means to change the txt when in GPIO snake mode. I believe that in this mode the displays are hard coded to represent their configuration state which is that they are in snake mode, what channel assignment, and which pin they are tied to.
